7 West 57th Street

7 West 57th street is a residential tower located in midtown Manhattan between 5th and 6th Ave. Just two blocks south of Central Park, construction began in 2017 and reached completion at the end of 2019. The tower now stands 19 stories high and is topped out at 237 ft. UBS began shed construction and hoist installation in April 2018. This job consisted of an 80 ft long 8 ft high heavy-duty sidewalk bridge installed in front of the building, including 8 ft high fencing throughout the bridge. A 7,000 lb. capacity single hoist was introduced, which serviced from the ground floor to the roof. The hoist was installed tight to the building from the ground up to the 12th floor, but setbacks on the tower required runways to be installed from the 13th floor up to the roof to connect the hoist to the building.
