For The Beekman Tower project, UBS provided both the hoisting and leading-edge perimeter protection. The West hoist complex consisted of a large common platform, up to 45 feet from the building, designed for up to three dual personnel/material hoists. The North complex consisted of a common platform, up to 30 feet from the building, with one dual personnel/material hoist.
UBS designed, fabricated, installed, and maintained its patented Cocoon System around the perimeter of the building. This system is designed to be raised in sync with the fast construction pace of up to one floor every two days.
