The Graduate Hotel at Roosevelt Island is located on the Cornell Tech campus. It is also the first hotel to be built on Roosevelt Island, which sits in the middle of the East River between Manhattan and Queens. UBS began putting up site fences in October 2017 and began constructing sidewalk bridge and hoist installation in April 2018. 680 ft of site fencing was put up on concrete barricades, including six 8 ft high man gates, three 8 ft high double swing gates for vehicles, and one 8 ft high 30 ft long sliding gate for vehicles as well. Two sidewalk bridges were constructed; the first was 16 ft high, 15 ft wide, and 120 ft long on the Tech Loop Road. The other sidewalk bridge on the North Loop Road was 8 ft high, 15 ft wide, and 120 ft long. A 7,000 lb capacity dual hoist was installed, which serviced from the ground floor up to the 35th floor, covering a total of 210 ft.
