74 Trinity Place is a mixed-use tower located in Manhattan’s Financial District and is right next door to the famous Trinity Church. This property is owned by the church and was formerly the site of church’s 25 story vestry, which was built back in 1923. After no longer needing the entire office annex, the church decided to demolish the old building in 2015, and construction began on the new tower in 2018. The mixed-use tower topped out at 28 floors in 2019 and is now known as Trinity Commons. The seven-floor base of Trinity Commons will serve as public space and church administrative offices, while the remaining floors of the tower will be for commercial offices. UBS installed a 7,000lb. capacity dual hoist tower on a common platform to assist with construction in January 2018. The hoist serviced from the ground up to the 28th floor, covering 400 ft in total.
